Reliability Model

The intention of a reliability model is to assess where on the the spectrum from high to low a given system needs to function. For example, an EMS or critical care system needs to operate at the highest possible level of reliability, whereas a volunteer management office within a hospital, while vital to the ongoing work of patient care, can safely make a smaller investment in achieving the highest level of reliability, freeing some money for life and death issues.
