Understanding Families Facing Trauma

Understanding Families Facing Trauma

Description

Being confronted with significant trauma is a burden none of us wishes to bear. For families facing trauma, there are are not only the pragmatic concerns of surviving the particular trauma itself, but the circle of impact that radiates outward, and can injure or even break apart even the strongest families. This workshop presents a clear view of how trauma unfurls upon a family, and how caregivers, friends and other family members can work together to lessen the impact of the initial shock and build healing and recovery as compassionately as possible.
